A More Inclusive Neighborhood Council
Our Neighborhood Council should represent the will of the neighborhood. We aim to increase community involvement in the Echo Park Neighborhood Council’s democratic process by uplifting the voices of all neighbors regardless of race, gender, housing and immigration status, or sexuality.
A Better Neighborhood
All residents should be treated with dignity. That means we will advocate for creating more affordable housing; increasing the accessibility of sidewalks, streets, and public transportation; and prioritizing services that enrich our community instead of criminalizing "crimes of poverty.”
A Better City
We believe in racial justice, which includes progressive justice reform and defunding the LAPD and instead investing in the wellbeing of our communities. We believe in climate justice, which includes making LA carbon neutral by 2030. We believe in tenant rights, which includes rent forgiveness and affordable housing for all.
